Book Review:Introvert’s Guide to Success in Business and Leadership

As a coach, I often run across extroverts who don’t “get” their introverted colleages, and disparage them as leaders. It’s when we look at the strengths that introverts bring to the table, and how that fits into the overall development of the team, that we make progress on celebrating them as leaders.

Transitions: Occupy Life One Step At A Time

The change I want to talk about is how we think and what we can do to turn that around – lifting our mood, protecting ourselves against stress, improving our emotional resilience, and eliminating the boxes we have drawn around ourselves. The change we are embarking on is to take steps to Occupy Life more fully, with wisdom, love happiness, and joy.

What Part Does Empathy Play in Leadership?

Learning empathy is no easy task, and not easily balanced. It requires a leader to take the time to think about another’s pain or unhappiness, and all the private distress they may be feeling that the leader will never know about.
