Measuring What Gives Life Meaning At Work

I don’t want to take away from the power of this video by giving you too much information.  For those of you who want to know how to move from just measuring monetary results in business to also measuring the happiness of your employees, and begin to make the connection between the two – please watch this video (it is a powerful 17 minute video, so make sure you have time to really focus).

If we could get the leaders of our companies and our government to watch and listen, we would begin to see a major change in our country from being one of constant negative news (CNN) to a country concentrating on the positive.

The challenge is to stop measuring GDP which measures air pollution, cigarette advertising, locks for our doors and nuclear warheads and begin measuring GNH which measures the integrity of our public officials, our compassion, the quality of our education and the health of our children.

GNH – Wanting what you have
             Having what you want

Leadership gurus – I’m interested in your thoughts.  How can we begin measuring the intangibles – the happiness of our employees, vendors and customers?  It can be done, and it does make a difference!
